The Stegasaurus utilizes a 1000 pound electric hoist operated with a remote control. This allows one person
to easily manage loading almost anything from jet skis and snowmobiles to concrete mixers and table
saws.
After loading an item and placing the rear rack hoop in the forward position, the Stegasaurus becomes a short 4’ overhead rack
available for transporting plywood, sheetrock, etc., while still allowing full stand up access to the rear half of the truck bed.
In the full rearward position, the rear rack hoop creates a 11’ overhead rack ideal for transporting pipe, ladders, or long lengths of lumber.
On a standard long bed truck the rack dimensions are 4’ in forward position, and 11’ in rearward position. Short bed trucks will be
approximately 2’ in forward, 9’ in rearward position respectively.
The tubes paralleling the truck box can be used as grab rails, and they come with several built in attach points for
securing loads of all kinds. For instance, after loading a motorcycle, the Stegasaurus will hold your bike upright while
you secure it with tie down straps.
All hardware, wiring, hoist, and hydraulic components are included in your purchase. With optional accessories, the Stegasaurus can
be custom tailored to your specific needs.
Tool Boxes Standard after market “cross boxes” and “fuel tanks” will work with Stega. Standard side boxes will not, but some
low profile 48” long side boxes will. We offer custom designed, heavy duty, extra deep side boxes with gas charged over-sized upward opening doors.
They mount to the Stegasaurus with u-bolts, require no drilling, and do not extend beyond or below the fender-wells so bed space is unaffected.
